Meet the Wealth Management Team
Rod joined the senior executive team of Bank of Sun Prairie in 2020. He has more than 25 years of experience in banking with expertise in wealth management and trust operations. He has led trust and investment departments and managed client relationships and investment portfolios. Rod served on corporate discretionary trust committee for a large regional bank and earned his Trust Certificate from Cannon Trust School.
In his free time, Rod delights audiences performing in his own rock-n-roll act and enjoys relaxing with his partner, Lana, and their family.
Sarah Barnes, J.D.
Sarah Barnes is a trust officer, handling all manner of trust, guardianship, and estate administration matters. Prior to joining Bank of Sun Prairie, she was a private practice attorney for several years focusing in the areas of estate planning and administration, as well as often serving as court appointed Guardian ad litem.
Outside of the office, Sarah serves on the Wisconsin State Bar Local and Specialty Bar Committee, and volunteers with the Dane County Basic Estate Planning Clinic which offers pro bono estate planning services to low income individuals. She is also President of The Arc – Dane County, treasurer of The Sun Prairie Public Library Foundation, and an active member of the Madison chapter of Junior League.
Sarah received her law degree from Marquette University Law School, her undergraduate degree from Edgewood College, and has lived in the Madison area for nearly 20 years.
Kristin is a trust officer handling trust, guardianship, and estate administration matters. Prior to joining Bank of Sun Prairie in early 2020, she was a senior associate attorney with Axley Brynelson in Madison where she litigated complex state and federal court claims on licensure matters, insurance and property disputes, personal injury, and family trusts. Prior to moving to Madison, she worked as a litigation associate at Kasdorf, Lewis & Swietlik in Milwaukee.
Kristin volunteers with the State Bar of Wisconsin Mock Trail Tournament and is a member of the Association for Women Lawyers.
Kristin received her law degree from Marquette University Law School and her undergraduate degree from UW-Madison. She and her family live in Sun Prairie.
