Alice
Hensen began her career at the Bank of Sun Prairie in 1966 and
is currently the bank’s President. She is the only female bank
president in Dane County. Alice is proud to have been able to
contribute to the financial success of many people in Sun
Prairie throughout her years of service at the bank. She feels
privileged that it is her bank’s advice and product that plays
such an important role in the well being of the community. “I
love being in a community bank because of my ability to give
back”, she says.
Alice’s community loyalty shows through her
years of involvement with Sun Prairie Public Library, where she
currently serves as President of the Foundation. She has
previously served as Trustee and President of the Board of
Trustees for the Library and was co-chair of the Facilities
committee. In addition, Hensen has served as a board member of
the Sun Prairie Chamber of Commerce and is currently chair of
the Governmental Affairs Committee and the Community Promotions
committee. She also is a member of the Community Development
Authority.
Hensen recently completed her term as a board
member of the Wisconsin Bankers Association and in the past has
served as a board member and the president of the local chapter
of the American Institute of Banking and Financial Women
International.
Alice Hensen is married and has two children
and three grandchildren. She enjoys spending time in her garden,
cooking, and most recently, golfing.
